Met Éireann has issued a Status Yellow Rain Warning for Limerick and parts of the south and southwest, with heavy rain expected to set in from 9am Friday, 14 November until 9am Saturday, 15 November.
Forecasters are warning of heavy and persistent rain, expected to fall on already saturated ground, which could lead to floodings, poor visibility, and difficult travelling conditions.
The warning also applies to Cork, Kerry, Tipperary, and Waterford, where similar conditions are expected.
A Status Orange Rain Warning has been issued for Dublin, Wexford, and Wicklow, where significant flooding and hazardous travelling conditions expected.
