Edwin Edogbo is among seven players returning from injury to bolster Munster ahead of their clash in Cork against Edinburgh.

The Round 3 URC tie kicks off at 7.45 tomorrow night in Virgin Media Park.

Edogbo is named on the bench, set for his first appearance in 22 months following an Achilles injury since December 2023. Tom Farrell, Calvin Nash, Andrew Smith, John Ryan and Michael Milne are all in line for their first appearances of the season.

Meanwhile, JJ Hanrahan has cleared the concussion protocol to return to play.

Clayton McMillan’s side are looking for three wins from three, following a gripping affair vs Cardiff last weekend.

Munster have made 10 changes to the starting 15, including an all-new backline. Shane Daly is ruled out, following return to play protocols after last weekend, with Calvin Nash set to take his place.

Mike Haley and Andrew Smith both return from injury to complete the back three. Last season’s Player of the Year, Tom Farrell, also returns to pair with Seán O’Brien in the centres.

JJ Hanrahan has been named at outhalf, while Paddy Patterson steps up from the bench to join him in the halfbacks.

Diarmuid Barron captains the side on his first start of the season, making it three captains in three games for Munster. He’s sandwiched in the front row by Michale Milne and Oli Jager.

The engine room remains unchanged as Jean Kleyn and Fineen Wycherley pack down together for the third game in a row.

Jack O’Donoghue steps up for the injured Tom Ahern as he also follows return to play protocols. The backrow is otherwise unchanged with Ruadhán Quinn and Gavin Coombes retaining their places.

Lee Barron, Josh Wycherley and Ryan provide the front row cover. Edogbo is set to play his first game in almost two years while Brian Gleeson provides backrow support.

Meanwhile, Ethan Coughlan, Tony Butler and Dan Kelly are the backline replacements.

Starting: Mike Haley; Calvin Nash, Tom Farrell, Seán O’Brien, Andrew Smith; JJ Hanrahan, Paddy Patterson; Michael Milne, Diarmuid Barron (C), Oli Jager; Jean Kleyn, Fineen Wycherley; Jack O’Donoghue, Ruadhán Quinn, Gavin Coombes.
