TREATY United will look to end their SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division campaign on a high when they host DLR Waves at the Markets Field this Saturday, October 24, with a historic league finish still in their sights.

The Limerick side head into their final fixture following a dramatic 3-1 victory over Waterford last weekend, scoring three times in the final ten minutes to turn the game around at the Regional Sports Centre.

Treaty trailed before captain Katie Lawlee equalised from the penalty spot in the 80th minute. Substitute Honor Mulvihill then put the visitors ahead before Caroline Penner completed the comeback to secure all three points.

The result was Treaty’s ninth league win of the season and leaves them sixth in the table on 33 points, level with fifth-placed Wexford. A victory on Saturday could see the Shannonsiders climb to fifth, depending on Wexford’s result, as they aim to record their highest-ever league finish.

Saturday’s opponents DLR Waves sit 11th in the table and will travel to Limerick looking to finish their own campaign strongly.

The fixture also comes after the club confirmed that Laurie Ryan will remain in charge of both the senior women’s team and its continued development into the 2027 season, when Treaty United adopts the Limerick FC name.

Ryan took over ahead of the 2026 campaign following the departure of Seán Russell and has overseen a positive season despite considerable changes to the squad.

Among the standout performers has been captain Katie Lawlee, whose goals and leadership have been important throughout the campaign. Caroline Penner has also made a significant contribution, while the squad’s younger players have continued to gain valuable experience at Premier Division level.

Treaty will now hope to carry the momentum from last weekend into their final outing, with the opportunity to finish the season on a high in front of their home supporters.

Kick-off at the Markets Field is at 5pm on Saturday.
