Treaty United have confirmed that Dave Rooney will take charge of the Women’s First Team for the final two games of the season, with the first this Saturday vs Bohemians at Markets Field.
It follows the departure of Sean Russell as Head Coach on Monday, less than one season in charge of the Women’s First Team.
In a post on X, the club also confirmed the departure of Craig Madigan and Niamh O’Byrne from the Senior Women’s coaching staff.
Treaty United have stated that the recruitment process for a new senior women’s head coach will begin immediately for the 2026 season.
CEO of Treaty United Ciara McCormack said, “Sean has been a valued member of our club and has played an important role in building standards for our women’s side on and off the pitch.”
With two games of the 2025 season remaining, they are currently sitting in seventh place in the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division.
