Mr Worldwide took the Stables Club by storm on Thursday night. The much-anticipated ‘Pitbull Party’ had a great turnout with everyone dancing and singing along.
DJ Kamil played plenty of Pitbull’s greatest hits as well as some other beloved tracks from the 2000s and 2010s.
Those who snagged tickets for the event were delighted to hear the first 100 students through the door were gifted a free bald cap to complete their look.
UL Student Life said “Expect nonstop energy, feel-good vibes, and a crowd that knows how to fireball all night long. Don’t just come to the party, be the party.”
UL’s Student Life President Siofra Foley organised the event and noted that “everyone [was] having fun.” She wanted the event to act as “a mini freshers for those who missed orientation.”
Many students dressed up as the music icon sporting bald caps, suits, and sunglasses, including Foley who is pictured below.
Foley also noticed that there was a lot of students who were not drinking and still enjoying the event. One student was Tyler O’Connor who said that “even without having a drink it was still really fun to get on the dance floor, listen to the good music, and see everyone dressed in their best Pitbull attire.”
O’Connor stated that it “was one of the best nights I’ve had in Stables this semester” because “the atmosphere was amazing, and the music was even better.” He hopes “to have a few more nights like this in Stables throughout the semester.”
Pitbull’s ‘I’m Back!’ Tour in the UK and Ireland was announced last week, and tickets went on sale on Friday.
He will be performing in Limerick’s Thomond Park on 8 July 2026 for the very first time. His Irish fans will be glad to hear that tickets for the Limerick leg of the tour are still available on TicketMaster. His other tour stops include Belfast, Dublin, London, and Leeds.
