The Grammy-winning rock band Kings of Leon have announced a major outdoor show at Thomond Park Stadium on Wednesday, 1st of July 2026. This will be the band’s first ever performance in Limerick city.
Tickets go on sale this Friday, the 21st of November, at 9am via Ticketmaster, with prices ranging from €89.75 to €99.75, including the booking fee. High demand is expected, as Kings of Leon’s earlier Irish shows – including their headline set at Electric Picnic 2025 – have sold out rapidly.
The group, originally from Nashville, Tennessee, have yet to announce who the special guest will be for their 2026 Limerick show. The event is part of their newly confirmed UK and Ireland tour dates for 2026, which also includes a show at Ormeau Park, Belfast, on the 29th of June.
Since debuting in 2003, Kings of Leon have enjoyed a glistening run at the forefront of the alternative rock scene. With hits like Sex on Fire and Use Somebody, the band have amassed an impressive 4 Grammy Awards. Their Electric Picnic 2025 performance marked the iconic group’s first return to Ireland since their 2011 Slane Castle concert.
The band’s most recent project, “EP #2”, released to critical acclaim on the 7th of November. The long-awaited record consists of 4 tracks and is a return to the band’s famously eclectic sound.
Their Limerick show is expected to attract fans from across the country, with Thomond Park Stadium – which has a capacity of around 30,000 attendees – serving as a landmark venue for their only confirmed concert in the Republic of Ireland next summer.
Kings of Leon are yet another addition to an increasingly exciting summer of music in the Treaty City, joining the likes of Pitbull, Florence + The Machine, The Pixies, and more.
